So the wife and I were sitting around today shooting the shit and talking about how we were getting older and stuff, when the topic of cartoons came up. You know what I am talking about. Those things that you used to get up at 6am on a Saturday for (ain't shit going to get me up at 6am on a Saturday now-a-days) with a big bowl of some sugar encrusted cereal and watched for like 6 straight hours.
We kind of thought that those half-hour flashes of neon and pastel really shaped us in some way. I can still sing you most of the theme songs from those shows. So my question is this, what did you watch on TV when you were a kid? The stuff that really sticks out in your mind when you think of your childhood. For me the first thing that came to my mind was the Disney Afternoon. Chip'n'Dales Rescue Rangers, Ducktails, Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears. And for the Saturday morning line up it was He-Man, Transformers, TMNT, Thundercats, and (don't say a fucking word) Gem (you can all kiss my balls, my sister used to watch it. hehe). Enough reading people, more writing!

I'm so sad that this post never took off.
Oh well. I only say that because my friend brought up the smurfs and how he used to love that show. I never liked it much. The Simpsons is the bomb man. I started watching it when it was a cartoon short on the Tracy Ulman show. Crazy how long that show has been on the air.
